If you are wondering what is the most important thing when it comes to exercising, all fitness coaches will tell you that it’s the persistency.
However, a lot of us don’t have the time to work out every single day. Therefore, experts have created exercises that are not time consuming, but will give you the desired results. The following exercises will take you just 5 minutes from your schedule. You should do them after you wake up, or before you go to sleep.
1. Toning the front of the thighs
You should begin by lying on your bed on your back with the arms by your sides. Then, you should lift your legs up at a 90-degree angle with the toes up. As you are in this position, you should keep your knees together and start bending the knees and squeezing the thighs at the same time. You should do 10 reps of this exercise.
2. Toning the back of the thighs
This is almost the same exercise as the first one. In this exercise you should be pulling the toes to your body and not to the ceiling. Do ten reps of this exercise. Then, you should lift your legs and your butt up to the ceiling and start to go up and down.
You should do 20 reps of this exercise.
3. Toning the inner part of the thighs
You should start by lying on your bed on your back while raising the knees and crossing them over each other. Your muscles should be squeezed. Bend your knees so you will go into a plie pose and then return to the beginning position.
You should do 10 reps of this exercise.
These exercises are not only good for toning the legs, but they also help if your legs are swollen, or you have varicose veins. If you are not physically active, and your legs are often swollen, these exercises are the best for you.
You should also follow these tips if you want to have healthy legs:
Walking is the best exercise for keeping the legs healthy. Walk as much as you can so you won’t have tired or swollen legs. Also, walking is great for improving the circulation of the extremities. All you have to do is walk around one hour couple of times per week to stay healthy.
If you do circles in the air with your ankles couple of times per day, you will eliminate the excess liquids and improve the circulation in the legs.
